Diane Zakian Rumbaugh

Diane Zakian Rumbaugh opened her own public relations consulting firm, Rumbaugh Public Relations in 1982.  Since the mid-1980s, her consulting work has been primarily limited to legal, green technology, non-profit and business-to-business public relations. She is a founding board member of the Gold Coast Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.


·        Develops and implements public relations plans for clients directed toward their targeted audiences.  General overall goals of the public relations efforts for clients are to:  raise the level of positive awareness of the client by specified audiences and increase the amount of incoming business for the client. 

·        Rumbaugh Public Relations clients have been interviewed by most major general, legal and business publications including The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Los Angeles Daily News, San Francisco Chronicle, Newsweek, Business Week, The National Law Journal, Los Angeles Business Journal, San Fernando Valley Business Journal, the Daily Journal, Inc. and Entrepreneur.

·        Clients have appeared on national and local television and radio programs and media outlets including CNN, CNBC, ABC's "The View," ABC's "20/20,"  CBS' "The Early Show," KTLA-TV, KTTV-TV, KCBS-TV, KNBC-TV, KNX Radio, CBS Radio Network, Business Radio Network plus numerous online media.

·        Articles and news releases are regularly prepared and distributed to the appropriate media.  Most articles are "ghost written" with the client's by-line. Articles prepared in this manner have appeared in such diverse publications as the Los Angeles Times, Ventura County Star, Los Angeles Daily Journal, Design/Build, Hotel Business, Trial, HR Advisor, San Fernando Valley Business Journal, Security Management and online.

·        Rumbaugh Public Relations arranges speaking engagements for clients before legal, business, community and appropriate trade organizations.  Such groups include the Building Industry Council, California Society of CPAs, Professionals in Human Resources Association, International Association for Financial Planning, American Subcontractors Association, the California Consumer Attorneys and numerous bar associations.


·        Generates publicity for annual non-profit organizations' events including: Conejo Valley Days and California Jazz & Wine Festival. Over the years, these events have drawn tens of thousands of participants and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for nonprofit organizations.

·        From 1986 to 1998, Diane Rumbaugh served as Research Director for KTLA-TV's coverage of the Tournament of Roses.  Researches each of the approximately 55 floats in the parade and wrote copy used during the broadcast. 


·        Writes and edits e-mail blasts and online newsletters.  

·        Prepares content for websites and social networking sites. Continually repurposes content for maximum exposure.

·        Helps write copy for brochures, press kits and other collateral material.
